Pink Floyd is a household name for music lovers. Their epic live shows, light effects, heavy lyrical pieces and unorthodox drops have always made them stand a string apart in the musical world. In ‘Inside out’, the entire story of the band unfolds straight from how the members met to the famous Live 8 Reunion where they featured together for the last time. Like the cherry on the cake, the readers can be happy that it’s not an outsider who is telling the story of the band but the only member who has been part of Pink Floyd from day one to the last- Nick Mason.

The drummer takes the readers on a ride through the ups and downs of the band, their struggles, their love lives and how ‘The Dark Side’ made their life a whole lot brighter. The witty man known also for his love of racecars apart from the drum kit unfolds the never before heard story of the band including the rise and fall of Syd Barret, one of the founding members of the band describing how their paths started and united to be the first ever sound of acid consciousness and the darlings of the London Underground.

Regent Street Polytechnic was the start of the endless river of music; it was during the Poly day that the band was formed constituting of Nick Mason, Richard Wright, Roger Walters and Syd Barret. Straight from the first chapter the book tells us how these youngsters came together to make The Pink Floyd Sound (as the band was called then). Spanning over more than 50 years from the 1950s to the early 2000s Nick Mason gives a detailed and witty outlook into the hurdles they faced, the first recording they did and the efforts they took to make The Atom Heart Mother (the first Pink Floyd album) a reality. The downfall of Syd Barret was always a huge question in the minds of Floyd fans around the world and Mason has given the true facts behind the sidelining of him and the arrival of the man who came to be known as the guitar and voice of Pink Floyd-David Gilmour.

The book also dwells into the time when they were composing songs for their most famous album yet- The Dark Side of the Moon which went on to be one of the most successful albums worldwide. Like they say there are two sides to a coin, the drummer tells the readers about the ego clashes and tensions between the members which soon followed after the epic success of The Dark Side in a very straight forward way and how it lead to the splitting up of the band after which David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright still continued to be Pink Floyd while Roger Walters went away to start a troop of his own. The book ends with the live 8 reunion and how things helped to make the reunion a reality with all the members playing together (apart from Syd Barret).

The book is a must read for all the Pink Floyd fans as it dwells into everything about and around the band including the extended Pink Floyd family and the people who worked behind the stage and helped in creating stadium filling sights and sounds that are Pink Floyd today.

The name gives out an impression that it might be yet another racing game. But it is not, it is way beyond that. Sunset Overdrive is an open world game from Insomniac and Microsoft Studios and it is an Xbox One exclusive. It mainly involves bouncing around rooftops and fighting within a large, enclosed city. And it features a youthful lead character. But comparing the themes of both is like comparing an episode of Heroes to someone laughing at their own farts in a lift.

The game is set in Sunset city where a new energy drink has converted everyone into mutated humans also known as ODs(OverCharge Drinkers),but soon you’ll just see them as fodder for some highly amusing frag effects.

Sunset City, the now walled-off city at ground zero of the Overdrive disaster, is basically your own private skate park, although no board is needed here. You can grind power lines, elevated railways, guardrails, and ledges using nothing more than your chucks, sandals, or flip-flops. Cars, trees, umbrellas, and more serve as trampolines, launching you high into the air in a single bound, while air conditioners are convenient boost pads. You can also do some wall-running if you’d like, because why not?
All of this maneuvering serves a greater purpose than simply making it fun to get across the city. First of all, it’s necessary for survival. OD are mindless and prefer mob tactics, and there are a lot of them. If you try to fight them on foot at ground level, you’ll quickly be overwhelmed. Secondly, the game has what essentially amounts to a combo system. The more you mix-up your moves, the more you’ll fill your combo meter, but if you begin to get boring and repetitive you’ll find your meter draining instead. At different tiers your meter will start activating your Amps (weapon mods that add supercharged or secondary effects), so you’ll always want to keep moving. This makes the battles crazy kinetic affairs in which you’ll be alternating between grinding strafe attacks and volleys fired off while arcing through a bounce jump.

The bizarreness extends to the weapons as well, which should come as no surprise from the development studio that brought the Ratchet & Clank games to the world. The very first firearm you get in the game is a phallic-shaped shotgun known as the Flaming Compensator. The TNTeddy fires teddy bears strapped to bundles of dynamite, while the Acid Sprinkler fires novelty lawn toys that spread acid everywhere instead of water. You can carry eight weapons with you at a time, which is a good thing considering how quickly you burn through ammo in the game, but the mechanism for switching between them is a little annoying. Holding down a bumper trigger while using a stick to spin through a weapon wheel isn’t the easiest way to switch weapons when you’re coming to the end of the rail that you’re grinding on and OD are all around you.

While combat can get a little repetitive at times, the game’s zany missions and outlandish characters help to keep things interesting. Don’t expect a deep, involved, or thought-provoking story, though. Things in Sunset Overdrive play out more as a series of encounters with increasingly odd characters and factions than anything else. The game is also very self-aware and self-referential, preferring to eliminate the proverbial fourth wall and keep the gamer in on its jokes rather than create a feeling of immersion. Even though the game sometimes felt like it was trying a little too hard, for the most part I enjoyed it all, although I can see it being a little much for some people.

Sunset Overdrive doesn’t take itself seriously, making the action and character of the game stand out about as much as its vibrant color scheme. Sequences that slightly alter gameplay or offer a big boss manage to delight beyond most of what’s available on the latest consoles today. If I couldn’t recommend the game to you based on its intense sense of motion or wild enemy and environment design, then I’d say the third-person shooter combat and unique upgrades will do the trick.

Marriage can be tough on you, sometimes it would want to make you bash your wives head with a hammer and eat her brains with a spoon just to know what’s going on in her head. Well least of all that is what Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) the Husband, is trying to do in the beginning of the movie.

Directed by David Fincher. Starring: Rosamund Pike, Ben Affleck, Carrie Coon, Kim Dickens, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Missi Pyle, Casey Wilson, Emily Ratajkowski.

Presumed to be happily married nick to Amy Dunne (Rosamund Pike) walks into his bar to have a drink chat with his sister Margo Dunne (Carrie Coon) on a fine morning of his 5th anniversary, (Well that escalated pretty quickly) hours later on his return back to his home Amy is missing and the only eye catchy evidence is the shattered teapoy.

Slightly frightened and curious nick reports the incident to the police, Detective Rhonda Boney(Kim Dickens) and Officer Jim Gilpin(Patrick Fugit) who makes theirs move on scene seems to find more evidence which rather turn the case upside down from the disappearance of kidnapping to Homicide

Gone girl is a movie based on Gillian Flynn’s best-selling 2012 novel where the disappearance of Amy soon becomes a media sensation doubting Nick’s attitude towards the incident weather could he have possibly killed his wife? Recently every movie that were based a novel have succeeded in satisfying the audience but Gone girl has moved up to the next level in actually shocking the audience about ‘Marriage’

Director David Fincher meant serious business when he directed the thrilling mysterious movie who also directed the movie Fight club and the social network.

The movie takes a different course when detective Rhonda comes across the anniversary gift left by Amy, which says clue 1(Explicit NSFW written content) which ultimately leads to the trap of death penalty to Nick

The movie keeps getting better and better when innocent obsessed with amy, Desi collings(Neil Pattrick Harris from how I met your mother) makes his way into the finding of Amazing Amy(The name given by the crowd and media)

There are two sides to every story(quote from Gillian’s book gone girl) and there definitely is in the case of Nick Dunne who his being hunted down by his wives personal diary and could have possibly been killed by him. Did he? Now that’s a teaser you have to find the answer for in theatres nearest to you!

P.S The Review might seem quite blank but trust me every word=spoiler alert to the movie

Movies can turn out to be quite dramatic. But, a mixture of comedy and real life essence? Hold on to your popcorn and enjoy the comic plot of ‘This is where I leave you’ directed by Shawn Levy (Also the director of Reel Steel, The Internship, The Night at the museum etc), centres upon the lives of five siblings and their unexpected or should I say, unfortunate reunion when their father passes away.

Starring Jason Bateman as Judd Altman has his life perfectly planned up with a perfect job until his loving wife is caught cheating on him on her birthday(RIGHT ON THEIR BED!, you’re going to hear that lot in the movie) and turns his life upside down and to the least part, making things complicated!

Judd’s unexpected complication goes through another hurdle when his father dies and as his last dying wish forces Judd to live with his complicated five siblings and his single mother starring Tina Fey as Wendy Altman, Jane Fonda as Hillary Altman, Adam Driver as Phillip Altman and Corey Stoll as Paul Altman in the same house once again for the next seven days. Shawn has always had a peculiar taste towards dramatic plot and this is one of those movies that has perfect answer to every middle-aged men/women till a certain point of the timeline

The movie has been rated R for some brief nudity, lots of profanity and also the classic drug use.

As the story goes on the characters go through a reality check in each of their lives as they try to live in the same house together. The movie has been directed in a small environment and targeting primarily upon the plot making it altogether a fine storyline based upon the hilarious and poignant best-selling novel by Jonathan Tropper .

We can’t say the movie has a perfect plot as, many of the comic performances turn out to be a poor not laughable joke throughout the movie and the plot concentrates more upon the life of Judd rather than the more complicated lives of their siblings. But, yet again it’s worth the watch and puts a smile on our face as we exit the theatre.
